1.2 litres of boiling water
Nutritional value per 100g: 1604kJ (380 kcal)
Preparation:
1. For every 100 grams of rice, add 600 ml of boiling water.
2. Pour the contents of the packet into a large, non-stick pan. Cover the contents with boiling water (or vegetable stock for extra flavour).
3. Add 1 tablespoon of salt and 4 table spoons of extra virgin olive oil.
4. Cook slowly, stirring it from time to time, for about 18 minutes.
5. When the water is absorbed and the seeds are open and soft, the quinoa is ready.
6. Remove from the heat, and it is optional to add a knob of butter & grated Parmesan to make it creamier.
7. Stir well, and serve hot.
